Quantize function introduction

In BandLab,QuantizeFunction is used to automatically align MIDI notes or beats on an audio track. When you record MIDI or write notes, the notes may not fall exactly on the grid lines. Quantize helps you align notes to the nearest beat, making rhythm more precise and consistent.

How to use the Quantize function:

  1. Select a note:Open BandLab's MIDI Editor and use your mouse to select the note you want to quantize.
  2. Turn on the Quantize option:Find the "Quantize" button in the toolbar and click it to display the menu.
  3. Select quantization value:Choose an appropriate quantization value, such as 1/4, 1/8, or 1/16.
  4. Apply quantification:After clicking the Quantize option, notes will automatically snap to the nearest beat line.

Note: Excessive use of quantization may make the rhythm too mechanical. It is recommended to adjust the quantization intensity according to the situation.
